One of the most important areas of the ministry's activity is primary vocational education. Last year, in order to implement the instructions of the Address of the Supreme Leader of the Nation to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan from January 26, 2021, certain measures were taken to seriously reform, modernize the education system, strengthen the material and technical base of primary vocational education.
In the institutions of primary vocational education of the labor system in 14 areas and 97 specialties for the economy of the republic are trained staff and currently 20 thousand 757 students, including 4 thousand 52 girls are studying in these schools.
There are 2,766 teachers and masters of vocational education working in vocational lyceums, of which 1006 are women.
In order to modernize the education system and process, 317 plans and 170 curricula were developed and approved and made available to educational institutions. In addition, the Standards of Professional Competence and modular training programs have been developed and approved for 17 specialties, and now education in primary vocational education institutions and the Adult Education Center of Tajikistan is conducted in accordance with these standards.
During this period, 30 thousand textbooks for a total amount of more than 400 thousand somoni were purchased and provided to primary vocational education institutions to provide teaching aids. There are also e-books in all vocational lyceums and e-libraries in 35 institutions, which promotes the development of technical thinking of students and teachers.
In 2021, more than 10,000 people completed short courses on the basis of national and modern craft centers in 48 crafts, 1,380 of whom are girls.
With a view to attracting unskilled people to vocational training, a vocational training program for citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025 has been adopted, according to which 1 million people will be involved in vocational training over the next five years. people are provided.
In 2021, under this program, more than 155 thousand people were involved in handicrafts, of which 66 thousand were women and girls. In this regard, in order to adapt education to the needs of the labor market during this period, the internship of students of primary vocational education institutions in large industrial enterprises and workshops was organized.
